Rear swingarm - Pillow mounts?

While I was doing the DTSS elimination I noticed how sloppy the pillow mounts are on the swing arm. Is there anything that could be done about that? Of course, besides buying a new swingarm

Why not get REAL rear strut pillowball mounts?
K2RD sells them.

Not talking about those.

I am talking about the one pillow mount found on the bottom of the trailing arms.

Mine moves like is suspended by jello. It is making putting the hub back on a pain.

"pillow mounts" usually imply the top shock mounts?
Does the FSM say otherwise?

If you're talking about the pillowballs in the rear trailing/A-arms, there solid ***** and loose by default. I bought new ones, but left the old ones in as the new ones were just as loose/moveable.

Yeah, those are the ones I was talking about.

Well, if they are supposed to be loose. Mine are that!

Hey - Wankel7 - Did you ever resolve this issue back in the day? I've just acquired a nice rear suspension and I can't tell if these two rear pieces are seized or trashed or perfect. I'm not sure, but I do know that they are $250 for the entire rear pillowball setup on the stock trailing arm at Blackdragonauto. Thats abusrd... Any thoughts?

Whoa, wassaup thread necromancy. You can get the spherical bearings for the hub carrier from the mazda parts department at any dealer, they're not too expensive IIRC. Get the seals while you're at it. Mazdatrix has them too: http://www.mazdatrix.com/h6_86-92.htm The spherical bearing should be able to rotate like any other spherical bearing, but it shouldn't move side to side or in and out.
