Rear passenger wheel wobble

(if you dont wanna read the pre-diagnosis skip down half a post lol im quite long winded :X)

i usually scour the search feature until i find some useful info, but im really stumped here : /

i have an 87 GXL and it was running great, until one day the rear passenger wheel started to wobble around and was rubbing against the caliper, so i turned her around and brought it home. to my surprise the rim itself was EXTREMELY hot to the touch.

my original diagnosis, the rotors must be warped, so i immediately ordered a new rotor to replace it.

A few days later i decided to move the car out of the way of my other car, and it and it would NOT move. so it would seem that that caliper have some how seized and is clamped onto the rotor. so heck i bought another caliper to replace that too.

so new calipers on, sexy, should be fine....but no. still wobbe, new rotor goes on....still wobbles.

It would seem that the rotor would rub against the brake pad at the same spot every revolution.

a friend of mine says it could be the bearings (due to the fact that it was extemely over heated), but the wheel is stiff, it does not move around side to side when i try to move it.

the axle doesnt seem to be bent. could it be possibly the Hub? i kinda noticed that the massive nut (36mm i think) in the middle of the hub looked a little off. and that the wheel was literally toed in when it was rubbing the brake pad.

any help is greatly appreciated.

Most likely the bearing, but who knows, maybe the hub. Get it towed to a shop or take the whole control arm assembly in, changing the bearing or hub requires a press. Do both sides, because if one's bad, the other is likely to follow along shortly.
