rear lug stud replacement on abs car.

anyone ever had to replace a rear lug stud on a abs 7?? i swear if i was to take this to a car shop to have it done it would cost hundreds of dollars..... anyone??? looks like id have to end up replacing the wheel bearings too.. just for a lug.. im not putting old bearings back in

Unfortunately, on ABS equiped cars, the speed sensor timing gear is so large, you are not able to just simply remove the rotor and push the old stud out .. you are going to have to remove the entire assy.. no way around it.. at that point, you WILL end up destroying the bearing, so it should be replaced as well.. it's also recommended to always replace the bearings in pairs.. so if you're going to replace one side, you should do the other side as well... doesn't that sound like fun?

I know I do, I need new wheel studs badly too.

On that note, anyone have any clue how much a shop would charge for that kind of job? In case one were to wuss out and not do it themselves.

for that i am guesing that most shops will change by the hour not the job. out here you would be looking at $65-like $95 an hour
