my new engine just turned up and the gearbox mounting point under the oil filter has been snapped off some how ( must have taken some serious abuse )
instead of having 6 mounting points the gearbox will now have 5.
Is this going to make a serious impact on engine longentivity?

 

nope. youll be fine.

 

^^^ Agreed. I don't even think I have a bolt in that one, and mines been ok.

 

mines broken too been driving like that for a year +

 

if it was a new motor i would be upset. does not matter if you dont need it. if its new theres no way it should be broken

 

OK thanks guys. I was a little worried.
Its a fresh rebuild with new housings but its not brand new. just never been started.
