rear engine seal?

i have a 87 tII and it started leaking oil the other day from the pasenger side were it seams the the engine connects to the bell housing and my clutch has been slipping ever since i got the car but the oil leak just recently showed up so i thought thats why mabye my clutch was slipping thinking it was my rear engine seal so i pulled off the transmission inspection plate to look for oil and it didnt seam to have any oil in there. so i was wondering were the leak could be comming from and if pulling that inspection plate and seeing no oil means anything. it only leaks when the engine is warm

The leak could be from your turbo and could have nothing to do with your clutch slipping... How does the clutch look? My old s4 turbo had a leak somewhere, although i never actually traced it or found exactly why the turbo was leaking. Its hard to see with all that heat shielding, but if you took it off you might be able to spot something.

also if my turbo was leaking would my exhaust smoke be blue because i thought it might have been that in the first place but i figured the exhaust would be blue so i ruled that out as a possibility but i could be wrong(most likey i am haha)

could your oil pan or oil pan gasket be leaking, maybe?

I had an oil leak down there once, but it went away when I changed my oil and filter, so it may have been a loose filter or something
