Rear end making funny noises

Okay, so a list of mods to get started for diagnostics.

1989 GTUs, S4 clutch type LSD.

The differential has delrin bushings installed on the 2 rear mounts, but i am not sure if the differential's front mount has been replaced. Some sort of traction bar or mini shock connecting the diff to the chassis, about a foot long, red and blue, and goes up vertically.

When throttle is initially applied the rear makes a "clunk" type noise, and when you let off the throttle the same noise is heard. Also while driving a lot of "whirring" sounds transmit through the car, but i assume that is because of the delrin bushings.

I've yet to get the car in the air to test the tires resistance for the LSD, but both tires do leave rubber marks on pavement

In 5th gear, at 50mph the car seems to bog (which i assume is a lack of the 6 port actuators), but more importantly that point creates the most noise from the rear end.

Sounds like you have an aftermarket Camber adjuster on the Car.
The Delrin Bushings will transfer Gear noise as they are Harder than Stock and vibration will Come from the LSD and you can Feel it in the seat of your pants!.
As far as boggin at 50Mph..I don't know.Maybe Down shift into Fourth if you are accelerating.Fifth is a Sluggish gear anyways.
