UT Coil troubles?

I believe my coils are bad. It seems odd that both went out at the same time. I used starting fluid to see if the fuel pump has gone out. It's an 86 n.a.. Is it possible that I have been driving on either the leading or trailing coils alone? I purchased her last June and she never really was very fast. So I think thats very possible. Thanks for your help, Mag

It is very very very hard to blow out the coils on a FC and the odds of blowing out all three must be at least a million to one.

When you try and start the car, what happens?

Are the spark plugs dry or wet if you pull them after trying to start the car?

I will try to start it, pull the plugs and reply tomorrow. I'm thinking I will check the fuel pump also. Thanks Icemark! Mag

Red face Coil troubles? No!

So the simple solution to this problem was put a new fuse in the EFI slot under the hood. I think I learned something here. Mag
