Why not upgrade to a better rear end? Seen em before but i'm not sure where. They make them to handle 500+ hp

I believe RX7.com makes upgraded axles for problems like you are having.

Are you breaking CV's, stub axles or the axle shaft itself?

What 60ft and et/mph are you achieving right now?

You could adapt a C4 Vette IRS out back. Lots of work... but you also get 12" rear disc brakes and will save weight as most of the setup is aluminum. Dana 36 pumpkin (most common) is 8" ring gear and the preferable Dana 44 is an 8.9" ring gear.

I'm putting a Viper pumpkin out back with custom slip joint axles to get rid of the CV joints. Should be good for some serious power.

Another option is to do what Chris "Speed" Anderson in FL did with his T2 FC. Solid rear end with ladder bars. No more broken parts and nice wheelies off the line . He runs 9.20's@150mph with 13B-REW motor, turbo+NOS.
