rear control arm removal

Im in the middle of replacing all of the original bushings on my fc3c with new energy bushings. but im stuck in the rear control arm removal. is there an easy way to go about this. ive searched the archives but i could not find a write up on how to remove the rear control arms. or better yet on how to go about replacing all the major bushings. any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you even look at the car? (1) shock bolt, (2) control arm bolts, (1) tension rod bolt, (1) sway bar end link bolt, (5) lug nuts, (2) brake caliper bolts, (1) axle bolt. If you want to take the hub off too there are (3) bolts.

I believe that you have to lower the rear subframe to get the bolt out.

not withstanding snide remarks, ie trubo II rotor, I have looked at the car being and my first rx7 it almost looked like the arm was a two piece tube and I was after any tricks or tips that might aid in taking out the arm with out having to remove all the other components. but gee thanks.
I have already taken out the arm but now I need to find the dtss busings and the other busings that did not come in my energy suspension master kit.any ideas guys
thanks again

mbz93 - What "other" bushings beside the DTSS bushings are NOT included in the Energy Suspensions master kit. I knew the DTSS were not there, but I thought it had all the rest. Let me now - I was just about to order these.

Thanks

Subframe mounts, the other 2 hub bushings, the stock "dogbone" bushings, the stock subframe link bushings. They may not all be replaceable though, and they might not all be rubber bushings, some might be spherical bearings.

Anyone know which of these are replaceable?

Look them up in the parts fiche (or if it's covered in the FSM), if they're in there then they're replaceable.

Subframe mounts are FB43-28-840. Everything else is named differently so I have no clue what you're referring to.

What are the outer 2 hub bushings? Are you referring to the DTSS?

Here's a list of everything I could find on the rear suspension.

Rear Suspension
Stopper-Rear Damper Rubber 2 FB01-28-014
Spring Rear Damper Sheet 2 FB01-28-040
Mounting-Rear Damper Plate 2 FB01-28-050

Rubber-Rear Damper Bushing 2 F044-28-013
Rear Damper Plate Set 2 FB01-28-020
Rear Damper Spacer 2 FB01-28-025

Rear Stabilizer
Stabilizer Rear Bushing 2 FB43-28-156A

Rear Lower Arms & Sub-Frame

Pillow-Rear Lower Arm Ball 2 FB01-26-230
Seal-Rear Lower Arm Rubber 4 FB01-26-250

this is all great info guys.. but I'm not looking to mess with the subframe. that is simply too involving for now. I would like to know where to get the two other hub bushings i think your referring to the ones that look like mouse ears around the hub right??
and the subframe link that came off when I removed the one side of the control arm.
But now I also need help getting out the main camber bolt on the bigger side of control arm. it seams that there is not enough room too push all the way out. the side of the chassis gets in the way. anyone know what im talking about.
thanks

If you lower the subframe a bit then that bolt can come out. You don't necessarily have to take the subframe out, just lower it enough to get the bolt out.

it didn't work.. the subframe hit the exhaust..my next move is to cut the bolt with a die grinder and install a new kit...i really don't feel like dropping the exhaust. thanks all

If you can't get the old one out, the new one won't go in...

why not?
I'll simply put in with the nut to the outside instead of to the inside.
