rear bumper

does anyone else think the rear bumpers of our cars look bad, well out of place?
i would really like to get rid of it. i think it makes the back of the car look too long. liek after the rear wheels there seems to be alot of car. i would like to have a roll pan kind of thing like trucks can get. maybe i will get a spare bumper from the j-yard and try cutting/fabricating something. anyone else feel the way i do about the bumper? thanks.

yea that's what i was thinking. i think i will pick up a stock rear bumper and cut it down so that it only protrudes an inch or less from the rear of the car. i have never had the rear bumper off though, is there a big support under the shell you know the actual bumper. . haha well i guess there's one way for me to find out. anyone else have any ideas for this? thanks
