rear brake woes...help please

ok i have a 91 n/a with the 4 piston brakes up front, vented rotors in the back. im having a REALLY hard time getting one of the screws on the rear rotor off...you know the crappy brass ones that strip real easily. ive tried liquid wrench and used alot of brake cleaner on the bastard but it doesnt want to come loose...all the other ones came off without too much trouble...any ideas on how to get this thing out?? i might have to drill it, but i really dont want to

Drill it out :\

Or try and pick up an impact driver, it's basically a screwdriver that turns when you smack the end with a hammer. Then give it a shot, but if the head is already gacked up, just drill ikt, you don't need the screw.

I did my rear brakes a year ago and the worst part was those ******* screws. Shredded 2 of 4 getting them out. Impact hammer is your best call. Although, Sears is pushing a new tool called the , 'Screw Out,' that supposedly removes screws with stripped heads. Haven't tried it, but may pick it up one day...

Just drill it. If you use the right size bit you can drill it until the head pops off. What's left over is easily removed after the rotor is removed.
