Rear axle nuts

Is it always so hard to loosen the rear axle nuts? I'm using a torque wrench, and I did pry that tab up. It's a bitch...

Torque wrenches are for tightening. Impacts are for loosening. Try an impact or a huge pipe and breaker bar for better resoults.
