rear axle cv boot tore :(
i noticed at the gas station my rear pass side rim was covered in grease. i look under the car and notice there cv boot on the half shaft is torn and all the grease is on the inside of the rim.
how much are the boots and how long is it safe to drive like this before the grease dries out?
im thinking im gonna have to remove the whole rear hub to put on a new cv boot, am i correct?
anyone done this before?
thanks for the help

Only the large approx 32mm size nut needs removal along with the four nuts on the inboard end of the halfshaft. Maybe Victoria British...or is it BritishVictoria that has the boot??
Or the wrecking yard has halfshafts without busted boots ....and will probably cost about the same as the boot by itself.
