it was really cold this morning, wierd problem!

I was a pretty chilly morning, and I noticed a wierd problem in my t2!

When I was driving to work, my brake light was (dash light) was stuck on, and my front and rear whiper wouldnt work. Any idea what it was? It warmed up and everything worked normal now. Theres got to be a common problem between the two problems. Any ideas?

it happened again this morning! However I noticed that once I got the car a little warm, if I were to cycle the key when i was driving, the problem would CURE itself. But what could be causing it to begin with?

Also my hot/cold air mix got stuck on warm last night, stays there no matter where I put the slider. Any ideas?

no, I mean if I were to cycle the ignition from the run position to off and back again, the brake light would go off and the whipers would work again

You know I had a 84 626 do the same thing when I just started to drive and it would only be in that one spot, every where else it was fine... Just a thought maybe this is the same problem that you are having with your T2????

Just a thought..

hmm I dont think thats it. What I noticed this morning when I was allmost to work, was that I was still having the problem with the brake light on, and the whipers not working. Just for the hell of it I turned the key from run, to off and back to run, and PRESTO! all problems went away. But non the less this is the second day this has happened in a row in the morning, and both days it was totally clear the night before making a cold moring.

I guess everyone wasnt kidding when they said FC's have electrical gremlins in them. I'll report back tomorrow, as its supposed to be cold again tomorrow morning

i thought about, it but I dont see what that has to do with the problem only occouring with the brake light on... and if thats true, why could cycling the key fix it?

On a lighter note, it wasnt as cold this morning, and the problem didnt happen!
