Realistic turbo project questions

Realistic turbo project questions

No "what does it take to turbo an n/a" here, just a few real turbo project questions. Here we go,

1. Is a s5 jspec engine going to work in a s4 body WITHOUT changing everything else, too?
2. What are the hp ratings of s4 vs. s5? Torque? (both jspec if it matters)
3. How much hp is the stock turbo (no hybrid) worth?
4. Anything need to be modded on the tranny to achieve 250 rwhp?
5. The s5 tII's are more desirable and somewhat rare correct?
6. What should I look for in a donor body?

Thanks guys. I finally decided to cancel whatever dreams I had of a really fast n/a and will be building a tII this summer in my garage. Pretty pumped about the whole thing.

BTW, if anyone has a tII body/drivetrain they would like to sell, email me. Later.

Im guessing that you are talking about just turbo cars? and no NA to turbo?

the s5 engine will work in s4 body if you change out ecu and wiring harness w/ it (some people change out all sensors from one to the other to keep whatever ecu they have, but thats not fun)
i believe that the jspec s4 hp=182, trq=183, and s5 hp=200 trq=196. just like the US
from what everyone says the TII tranny is pretty tough and can handle 250hp
yes the s5 TIIs are more desirable and rare but they are also more $$$
as far as donor body i would just look for no rust, straight body, and overall good condition if thats the kind of think your worried about

I am planning to do a similar project here shortly. Im selling my NA to put money towards the TII (which now has a blown water seal). I would like to put the s5 engine in w/ ecu
