Thumbs up Re- Rebuild Compression test Results in

Well the re rebuild has idled approx 1hr total.. the numbers came up as

Front Rotor- 75-75-75
Rear Rotor - 78-78-78

i filmed the test and revied the videos and that needle moves fast lol so if anything thouse numbers are a little low.. i think there pretty good for the amout of time its been run.. and the best part is it fires rite up no bad coolent seals and dont leak

You are doing the compression test with the engine warm, and the throttle held wide open... right???

Man, let's hope those are warm numbers...If those are cold, then warm she'd be down around 70...

Must be used rotor housings, right?

o the number are rite after the engine ran for approx 30 mins idling.. it wouldent idle below 1500... but i went out and ran it for another 30 mins and it will idle at 900-1000 ruffly so i think the compression shot up, once my mom gets back i will re test it.. and yes the throttle was wide open. also i have a old k mart compression tester so it may be a litttle off.. why what should it be at after 1hr running.. the housings are used and had 9k miles on them..

peace and thanx for the info

dustin

i will post the new results later

9k on 'em, they should be a bit higher, I would think. I only have my own rebuild to compare numbers, though. With new housings and seals, my compression hit 90 all around after the initial warmup and a couple of drives.

It sounds like yours is breaking in OK, if you can already sense better compression after just idling. Put some more miles on her and I'll bet you'll be right up there too

well, after a rebuild, compression builds as the seals settle and find their sweet spots.

check it again in 100, 500, 1000 miles

it will go up i believe

I agree, even with old used housings, my front rotor hit 120-120 after idling for like 30 mins.

I used the RA master kit. So yeah, RA seals here too. Got about 22K on 'em now, still going strong...
