RE Amemiya aero mirrors

I bought a set of JDM manual RE Amemiya mirrors from ebay. I just got them his week and I was wondering if anyone out there was these mirrors on their FC.

I'm trying to figure out how to mount these mirrors and more importantly, how to adjust them since they don't seem to move at all and I don't want to break them.

I've looked at a few pics and it seems like they are supposed to be molded onto the door, I hope my body shop can blend the paint well enough so that I don't have to paint the whole car.

Thanks for the help guys.

i have them too! mine arn't moled to the body tho. to adjust them, you kinda have to pull on th mirror to take the tension off of the spring. it takes effort, but they shoudlnt break.

On a complete side note; did you get your clutch installed?

I looked at my mirrors and it doesn't look like I have spring, I think they are just stationary mirrors. That sucks, I hope I can see once they are installed, otherwise they will be pretty useless. I guess I should try and get in touch with the seller, maybe he can help.

its JDM yo!

they're pretty ick though, I'll take my s5 mirrors.
they may not be real JDM, they could just be a cheap knockoff you just cant adjust.

that would blow.

i remeber now! k therse should be a spring but its hard to see. to a adjust them, its halfway between actually adjustign the mirror and bending the metal L bracket. the breacket is goign to bend, but it shouldnt break.

Another question......I've managed to bend the L bracket to slightly adjust the mirrors, but I can't adjust the angle. I also didn't realize how small they actual are. How do you guys find the visibility for checking your blind spots.

Finally, when you mounted your mirrors, did you have to cut the window trim back?

Thanks again.

mine are set perfect for me, i dont even need to turn my head so much anymore. have it set so that you can barely see your rear corner pannel. and no, you do not have to cut the window trim. people tell em they are small, but they work fine for me.
