Talking RC 2nd Gen. RX-7: pics of my 17 inch 1/10 scale RC RX-7

Here is a nice blue one that I prepared for a friend. It is not done yet, but I think it looks good. I am going to be selling several of these in the future. Let me know if you are interested.

Mother ******* son of a bitch! How come nobody can hook me up with one of those? I've been asking where I can get one for years! But so far nothing ...

If you tease me with pics but don't deliver, I'll come to your house and personally string you up from the nearest tree.

Now tell me where to send the cash, I want one that matches my purple, with tinted windows ... and no stupid stripe. Here's a pic to use for color matching You did a really nice job on the paint by the way.

Oh, and also is it possible to do a exact copy of a 88 TII 10th Anniversary? If so I might want that one instead of the red one..or both if the price is right.

How much wuld it cost to get the hole thing, rolling chasis and all..even controller.

Talking Ok, Ok, here are the details.....

Sorry, I don't check my mail every day. Here is the deal. I can get the FC bodies. The only problem is that they are not cheap. I don't want to rip anyone off, but the fact is that there is a process that I go through to get them and it is not inexpensive. Anyway, they are $100 each. I don't want to hear any complaints! I am strait forward, and y'all are asking. If you don't want one, fine. If you are a RX-7 FC Gi-Joe and need one, send me an email. It is made of clear lexan and can be painted any color. It also needs to be prepared and will need some cutting. It comes with several decals (stickers), including some very detailed ones.Let me know if you have any questions.

that is a modified one of those engines, note the cooling fan to help make up for lack of moving air that planes have no problem with (this is a plane engine)
etc etc 3 speed gearbox :-D

Listen, at $100/each you've gotta be making at least $50 profit ... don't tell me you're not. I've seen them many times on Ebay for $50, and the people selling it for that are making profit. The only reason I haven't jumped on one of the Ebay ones was because I wanted to find a hookup that could provide a lot of them for the forum.

So you have two choices - if you want to sell the shells for profit, I'm going to close this thread and you can list something in the For Sale section. Otherwise you sell them for whatever your cost is, plus maybe a buck or two (not double the cost), and I'll leave this thread open.

I'm not going to let you gouge forum members. If you want to gouge, then be legitimate about it and post in the right forum, not here.

Final Answer, Regis

BOOSTD 7,
The place that makes this awesome car body is in Japan (go figure). I am in the USA. If I place an order I can't just hop on my skateboard and shimmy across the ocean...(EMS shipping $35.00). Second, I don't have a gazillion Yen in my pocket to throw at this company once I skateboard over there. So, I must send payment via an electronic funds transfer to their bank in ******* Japan (yup, another $30.00 bank fee). Hmm, it starts to add up, right. So if I could make a high quality product im my basement I would give them to you Free, but unfortunately I can't. The company that makes them does not speak english. I can have 50 kick *** FC3S car bodies here in about 1 week, if the costs are coverd and I get paid for the pain in the *** that I go through to get them delivered. Until then, better close the thread. I love my collection of RC RX-7's, I think I'll paint this one purple :-)

Question - if it's a real rotary engine (not electric) then I would think $100 is very fair right?

Either way - they're rare and the price isn't too bad.

guys read the hole thing

before you post

what he is selling is just the plastic shell
not the hole car

you still need to shell out about 200 - 300$ for the car kit depending on what engine you want

as far as the pricing for some plastic car shells

hpi sell their stuff for about 30$ bad thing is they dont make rx7

i have a long list of rc car bodies manufacturers that i im looking their websites looking for rx7 second gen and if i come across a company that makes them i will be sure to post it up
