RB's Turbo Back Exhaust
RB's Turbo Back Exhaust
I was wondering how they hold up? Do they rust out fast? Who all has this system? how long? And how does it look?
And where is the best place to get it?
Also right now i have 3" y'ed in to 2.5" with a couple straght threw mufflers. What is the power going to be like after going to the RB turbo back? I've had this loud system for about 2 years it was great at first but anymore i cant take it. going down the highway i cant even hear myself think.

RB systems seem to hold up pretty well. They are made of very thick material, which help keep sound and raspyness down. This however , also makes them one of the heaviest systems. You may notice a little quicker spool, and maybe another lb or so of boost from the full 3" over the 2.5 you had before. The sound quality of the RB is very nice though. Im assuming you know youll need (or already have) an FCD, and a larger fuel pump to support the extra boost.

Looks are subjective, I think it looks ok. The fittment is very good.

I've had my R/B exhaust system since the new muffler design came out about a year and a half. As far as quality, fitment, and sound level, I'm 100% satisfied. The parts are really beefy and the muffler cans are beautiful and have held up awesome. (i do take neverdull to them when i wash the car.)
The downpipe has blued from the heat, but it looks kinda cool that way.
The sound is low and loud, its quite quiet until you romp on it, then it lets you know its there!
The only grip I've had is that i think that the inlet tubes for the mufflers are mild steel, cause they were painted black when i got them and there is a bit of rust on one of 'em where the pait chipped off. I don't know if they still are this way cause i got one of the first sets in the US.
Also.. they were still using regular steel parts in the 3" turbo back system when i bought mine, the presilencer wasn't the same design as the one they sell seperately either, so I opted to buy the downpipe/presilencer combo and the catback system seperately so that i got all stainless steel parts. (go to their site and look up the DP/presilencer kit and then look up the complete exhaust, you will see the difference)
I talked to them about 6 minths ago and they said that they were in the process of phasing out the old style parts on the complete exhaust systems, but i'd check with them first because the quality of the stuff i got is WAY better than those they were using in the complete system at the time.
