RB header/pre-silencer...rest of setup? not newb shiet

'86 N/A..mods below.

I just bought a rb header and pre-silecner...and I'm debating on the rest of the setup. I like the canister look...i.e. apex-i single...corksport...dual n1's...but damn loud, ESPECIALLY with that header..theres always Racing Beat ofcourse, pretty nice looking mufflers...awsome quality, and ofcouse QUIET.....and if anyone can guide me toward an good used setup, that 'd be awsome. I've only heard that one video though...open header....apex-i single....then with silecner...video is cool...but its in his garage with the silecner...so I'm guess its gonna seem alot louder....but damn..to me...it didnt really get that much quiter...the only reason I'm even concernded is neighbors...trying to keep em happy. Suggestions...more clips of any kind of muffler with a silencer..like the bomz stuff.....thanks.

put a custom billit muffler on it. A long one . It costs 250 isnt to showy and is very quiet even with my header pre-silencer.

I have the same set up from the header tot the presilencer. I then put the CS single side out muffler on it from the y back. It was too loud for the street in my area, although you and others may not think so. I had to place a borla muffler inbetween my presilencer and the CS muffler to bring noise down. It still is a bit loud, be carfull of what you buy in the area for noise concern. Sorry no sound clips. Even though it was loud the sound and note of the engine was wonderful, nothing can compare to it.

I wish my digital camera had AVI capability. I would take a vid of my setup before I took it all apart for my rebuild. It was the Racing Beat streetable header, presilencer and a Dynomax 2" dual catback. It rumbled like a diesel locomotive! Too loud for my taste but sounded awesome. Now I am going to just go with the RB header and stock main cat / cat back because I will have a RB spec street port once it runs again. Street ports make it even louder because you remove the "diffuser" that is in the middle of the housing's exhaust port, which is there to quiet things down.
