so when removing the stock exhaust manifold how many people removed the aux ports can it be done with out removing them?, also the o2 sensor should bolt right up to the header i read that you need an extension is this true?

if you climb under the car and remove the tow bolts you will notice that there is a hump on the manifold to either side of each bolt head. That same pattern is repeated on top of the manifold. Use that to guide your socket in on a 6" extnesion. You will have to move ti around a bit, and maybe get a hand under there to get an idea of how high off the manifold you need to be, but its rather easy to remove the manifold without removing the actuators.

getting the header back on is stupid easy.

You do need an extension. You can either extend it with wire yourself, or I think RB sells one with new headers. Its a 5 minute soldering job.

Depending on what headers you run, you might not need to extend the wires to the O2 sensor. Also, you don't need to remove the actuators at all. Installation would be a lot easier if you do remove them though. They are only attached by 4 bolts and only take 5 minutes to remove.

I suggest lifting up the car and test fitting the headers before unbolting anything, that way you'll be able to tell if you need to extend the wires or anything. In the event that you do need to extend the wires, you can get high temp wires from any auto parts store. I can't recall the guage wire, but it should be anywhere between 22 to 14. Also, unplug the o2 sensor from the harness when you remove the stock manifold and install the o2 sensor on the headers before you plug it back into the harness. That way the wire doesn't get all twisted up.

/\ /\..heh..I would really like to see this..there is no room to put a header IN to test fit,and also have your stock exhaust there..Do it "By EYE" Or,f you Can get a Big piece of thick, bendable Wire(like a Coat hanger, the old ones)..make it the Size of the Header.Mark the wire with Roughly the place for the O2 sensor..Also..ya.the Actuators..Take them Off.You get a clear shot at the Upper Manifold Bolts/Studs.Believe me,you will need a good Shot at them. They may come out with the nuts on the Studs.

Buy a new O2 sensor, buy wire for the extension, buy weatherproof connectors, buy antiseeze, buy the gaskets for the header.
Don't buy into removing the acutators... unless you like doing unnecessary work!

What I meant by test fitting was really eye-balling. Of course you can't test fit the pipe with the exhaust still on.
