im sure it sounds much better HELLO?!!?? ...its not gonna add that much power to your car if you are stock because you still have the restrictive *** midpipe

if you don't appreciate it that much ill buy it...let me know a price and ill buy it!

With the catback, you're only eliminating the mufflers (although they are pretty restrictive)... You probably won't notice much difference though until you open up the entire exhaust... Sucks to be in Cali huh...

If it doesn't sound any different then you either had really bad rusted out mufflers or you have a clogged cat... Or you could be tone deaf or something.

Is this a turbo or NA model?

The turbo's have a nasty habit of fragmenting the precat and stuffing it into the main cat. If yours is a turbo, try to get a downpipe and a nice high flow cat. You'll notice a big improvement in power then.

If it is NA then get ther RB headers. My buddy just installed his and he said the difference was like night and day.

If it's non-turbo a cat-back really won't add that much noticeable horsepower anyway.

From RB site:

Performance tests on a Dyno Jet chassis dyno have shown a 5-7 HP gain over the stock system.

To sum it up, you won't notice any difference.

Exactly. Header back exhaust systems are necessary for *noticeable* power gains on the NA.

There’s power you just didn’t finish it. go to rx7.com, get the headers and the Bönez high flow cat and a Bönez street comp intake and there you go there is the noise and some power in one very costly package.

If you were to search my name back to like my firt 50 posts, you'll notice I made a thread about this also. I was whining about how the RB catback literally made my car QUIETER!

But yeah, the real power/sound is in the full setup. Or in my case, true duals.

Definitely check the pre-cat/cat. When I replaced mine with the rx7.com package, I found that my pre-cat had completely blown out into my main cat.

A catback isn't going to make a noticable power gain on any car Unless you had some really retarded one on there before... Just looks a little better and can sound a little better. Like the others have said, everything before it is what matters. It just makes it sound better mainly... Open exhaust gets loud and can be nasty
