RB cat-bak with 20b?

Well im goin to have to buy a new exhaust for my car but i want the exhaust im about to buy be usable with the 20b engine. At first i was really thinkin about gettin a jap exhaust but all i found were single exit (i want duals) then i found apexi and hks but i want something with more stlye then just a cut tube. I really like the design of RB exhausts but I think that the piping is too way too small to run a 20b. maybe im incorrect on this im not too sure so. I also saw a Greddy SP cat-bak that looked out and was dual... if anyone has any good info or advice plz post, i just wanna hear your guys/girls opinions on this

Well for one thing if you're getting true duals, you'll need more than that to run a 20b, since it'll have 3! exhaust ports. You'd have to add a whole other pipe unless you want to have one port through one pipe and two through another. If you have them collected before the catback then that's another story, but it sounds like you wanna go true duals, which I wouldn't think would be ideal for a 20b switch, my guess is get what you want now, and if you have money to go 20b later you'll have the money to get the right exhaust for it.

I could be wrong.

I don't think he was talking about true duals - but the duals on us turbo II. Running the Y and then to "fake" dual exit. The RB should work out from what I've heard, but I do believe that it depends on your downpipe midpipe choices. I think that cost wise RB is also a damn fine choice - the HKS dual is about a grand new and the Greddy SP is something like 800. You can get the whole RB turbo back for that much.

first, are we talking turbo or n/a? I am assuming turbo - in which case, I think the catback would be too restrictive. For a 20B i'd want dual 3" after the Y-pipe, if possible.

true dual can be done on a twin turbo 20b one pipe off each turbo. I think the best bet would be large piping from the turbos back to whatever mufffler you like, if you like the RB muffler look just take the setup to an exhaust shop and tell em what you want, they can hack up the rb cat back and use the mufflers with a true dual setup.

Not many people use a twin-turbo setup with a 20B because is difficult to make a good manifold for them. single turbo or tri-turbo.

well i want to make a free flowing exhaust that wont get me pulled over when i drive normaly, rite now i have a 86 base so i would b lookin into N/A exhaust, sometime next year i will b ordering the 20b, im probly goin to custom fab my own downpipe cause i have welding tools available and i have welding experience. I like the idea of true duals but wouldnt that make produce even more exhaust db then lets say a 3" Piping starting from the Y-Pipe? If its just simple welding pipes together i can easily do that. btw im not aiming to having a 500+ hp 20b ... i just want a single turbo setup cause i want it to still b a daily driver and streetable car. hopefully i can create something that is pretty much silent till 3k-3.5k rpm that would b ideal true dual or not ... damn thats alota writing

It's easily good to 500 and maybe up to 600.
Unless you're shooting for more, it's not your restriction.
