RB or apex? (Exhaust)

It is in the works that I will buy a catback exhaust. I already have RB header and presilencer, should I go all out RB and get an RB dual catback, or should I get an APexi N1 Dual?

RB would give great performance as well as sound. SIngle exhaust setups actually flow better. Less surface area, so the gasses escape at a higher velocity, but anyway. I ran a RB header/presilencer combo with a N1 single (not Apex'i, but same dimensions) and it is VERY VERY VERY LOUD. But man, it made my baby pull hard!! The flames were nice as well!

So you recommend single Rico? And I am sure the higher the velocity of the exhaust gases the louder it is

Not really louder. That all comes to the resonace which is decided by the size of the muffler and pipe. But yes, the gasses will flow more easily out of a single muffler. The y-pipe has a higher surface area than a single pipe, so it will slow the gasses down more.

Best Looking: APex'i Dual N1s (that is what is goin on the tii when I get one)
Best Sound (at least according to the law):Racing Beat

I got the apexi n1 single and i love it. I own a 88 N/A and its actually pretty hella loud. I have no cats i im pretty sure i must of gained a good 20hp outa of the set up. You should go single i know the FC were ment for it but it saves you weight and if you look at all or most of the racing rx7's out there they got singles cuz of the power advantage. Im lookin to get my silencer soon too cuz the exaust actually gives me a headace on a normal basis so i got to tone it down at tad but dude...
GO SINGLE

I got an Apex'i N1 and the silencer. It is VERY loud, (no cats.) If you put the silencer in, you will lose a lot of power you gained because the main hold in the silencer is about an inch and a half wide, but you can hear yourself think. I just use it on trips because that constant drone kills me :P

Hmm.. Very loud.. It really does give you a headache? Damn that is another $50 if I get the silencer. Maybe I should go rb duals?

Suds hold up think about this cuz its what allowed me to come to a final decision.
Are you looking to do this for looks and confort or Max power.
If its for looks and confort you go for the dual
If its Max power you go for single

My situation is max power cuz I believe that my goal for my FC is taking it to the tracks for racing aplications. So keeping this in mind i thought i need less wight and max power outa my FC and having a single exaust is going to help along with all the other stuff i have planned for the car

If its Max power you go for single
For max power in an N/A you run 'true' duals, a pipe for each rotor.

and h8mypl8 has a badass setup, apex duals it is.
Question though, presilencers or no? $100 extra!

apex duals weigh a hell of a lot! If you are looking for max power for best accel, then for the weight savings go single.

I personally love the look of dual exhaust, so it all depends on what you want out of your car.
