RB 3' turboback restrictive for bigger porting?

I'm just curious on how well the RB 3' turboback exhaust flows. Does it become a limiting factor in power in half bridge or full bridge ports (with properly sized turbo)?

Not like I'm going to go with such a big port but I'm just curious thats all...

No it won't. I remember reading an article a while back that calculated the ideal exhaust diameter to be 2.5". Above that, the law of diminishing returns begins to come into play (i.e. the gains from larger exhaust get smaller and smaller). Of course, larger diameter means less back-pressure = more horsepower. Then again, rotaries respond particularly well to exhaust modifications so a larger exhaust may be a good idea. The limiting factor WOULD be the turbo. With the flow capable from a full or partial bridge, you'd want turbine A/R to be much higher then stock. I heard of some cats with BP's running something like a hot-side A/R of 1.22

You also have to worry about not having enough backpressure once you get to much bigger than 3in

Though I havent fully set mine up yet, I run a halfbridge on my RB 3" system (custom downpipe, obviously, for the t04E). I don't see how you could have any flow issues with the exhaust.

Also, the RB system is super high quality exhaust. Definetly the best system for the FC.
