Same here, but its all the time, and it sounds like someones dragging metal pipe along the ground or nails down a blackboard when ever my foot is pushing the clutch pedal. Havent tried searching yet though. Too scared too know how much it will cost haha

Transmission noise with the clutch in is usually the release bearing or something with the pressure plate/clutch itself. This is much cheaper to fix than if you have noise while the clutch is out (main bearing failure).

Hey thanks for that, so just to confirm, problem is cheaper to fix if it is screaching when my foot is pushing the clutch pedal, rather than screaching if my foot isnt on the pedal?

Yes a release bearing is a somewhat simple job to do if you have a mechanical backround.

IT is also a cheaper fix if you were to go to a shop. You would be looking at around 3 hours of labour plus parts.

I'd never let a shop work on a 7 IMO......unless its a 7 specific shop.
