Question Rats Nest Question

Well I need some advice on this. I'm doing a TII conversion on my 89GTU and while the engine is out, I repainted the engine compartment. I have the engine wire harness out and I am removing all the emission stuff. My question is when you removed the rats nest did you guys just let the wire harness connections rest on the engine or did you cut off the plugs or what did you do? My thought was since I have the harness out and its stripped down, should I just pull the pins at the ecu plug or not? I'm talking about the plugs that run to what appers to be electricall controlled solenoids. 4 of them to be exact. Let me know. Thanks. And yes, I've been searching for the last 2 hours.

I'm right where you are with my TII, i'm in the middle of putting it back together. I just let them sit on top of the engine(havent run it but i dont think it gets too hot to melt them or anything) because i read somewhere that you just "tuck them away somewhere." But hell, if you've got the harness already stipped, i think it'd be way better to just get rid of the entire wires. Save room and make it cleaner.

That's what I thought too. I went ahead and removed them from the ECU plugs. Good luck with yours.
