OK Ratings on Wrecks in a RX7

I haven't found a website that gives a good rating on a 2nd gen rx7 being wrecked. I just want to know what everyone thinks of them.

I prefer mine unwrecked.

If you're asking about crashworthiness, I have no idea and hope never to find out.

this has been brought up several times .. go look at the thread. this car is actually built extremely well. many of us have walked away from what should have been fatal car accidents.

roll-overs are a different story than being hit head-on, at an angle, or t-boned.

besides..... the driver was stupid enough to be driving on a cold or damp mountain road

The 4 star rating (Driver/Passenger) is from the NHTSA, not something I envisioned because of the wreck.

4 star rating is equal to a volvo of the same period, and is better than mercedes/bmw.

yea i was about to say .... but if you enter a situation expecting something to happen, and are use to business as usual ... you are not prepared for the unlikely circumstance of what happened.

when you are going that fast into a corner and at the last second realize you don't have brakesdon't realize its already to late to downshift or yank the ebrake

FYI ... car holds up well in roll overs

Obviously you couldn't find any information, so here's the list and then you can do the interpretation:

Search forums. People walk away unscratched from crazy accidents all the time. Myself included.

Back when I was stupid and thought I knew how to drive (16 year old know it all lol). I hit a tree head on with an estimated impact speed of 105mph (according to the state cops). My friend was with me, he wasn't hurt at all, seat belt bruise. I got the worse end of the wreck, but it was kind of a freak thing instead of a flaw in the car, the VIN number plate detached from its rivets on the dash panel and went through my left eyelid (without actually hittin my eye, extremely lucky) and that plus a seat belt bruise were all I had happen. I also know a few other people that have been hit head on with about the same impact speeds that had the same experience (not the vin number, the injuries in general) just seat belt bruises for the most part. They hold up really well in every non roll over I've seen them in.

Anyways, in my experience and opinion (based on my personal crash, and seeing quite a few others) they would be rated very well on safety.
