So basically i need help trying to wire my radio THE RIGHT WAY. The last onwer didn't know what he was doing so the power is cut to the speakers when ever I turn and its not hooked up to the battery so the setting are never saved.

I need a wiring diagram that shows what color is what wire as the haynes manual doesnt say what color is what. I have a 87 gxl. Thanks in advanced.

You want to look at pages 15-116 through 15-120.

 

Blue/White and Blue/Red wires. Blue/White mostly for power and Blue/Red mostly just for lighting if stk wiring. See the links given to you above.
