Radio Headset Jack Install
Radio Headset Jack Install
Has anyone here ever installed a *jack* to interface with the radio so you can use a headset to listen to the radio? Any advice on parts? Install?

Anyway, that said, is this a stock stereo or aftermarket? Are you using amplifiers or not?

I'm an outlaw and live in the USA. Its a cheap Durabrand from Walmart with no amplifiers except what's built in.
************************Well i do remember back in the day some radios came with that. But it is illegal HAILERS, not to be nosey, but why would you wanna do that. And what kinda head unit are you doing it to?*********************************************** *************
My cars noisy like all cars and I have some Bose Quiet Comfort 2's to cancel out road noise and want to listen to the CD player in the radio (Durabrand, sixty amp, fifty bucks radio).
I'm thinking about just finding a jack and soldering the speaker wires to the jack..........but I worry about blowing out the Quiet Comfort 2's (expensive).
Removing catalytic converters is also against Federal law, but that doesn't stop people...
I for one think it's a good idea. Since my radio doesn't work, I used to listen to my Ipod while driving (it broke
). I had earbuds, but they canceled the noise fairly well. For me to hear a radio as well as I did those in my car it would have to be cranked pretty high. I'd rather not go more deaf...
