Radio causing non-start?

K, I thought maybe the problem with my car not starting was the starter, until it fired up under its own power the other day. My radio wouldn't turn on the other day, so I had dad wire in my old one (still aftermarket head unit). The car wouldn't fire up with the radio installed. How can the radio cause the car not to start? This is becoming rediculous.

NO! The dome lights don't work. Neither the push lights or the one in the middle with the 3-way switch. Ever since we started playing with the radio, the dome lights have been screwy too, Icemark.

He's probably going to tell you to replace your METER FUSE so the lights will work once more, but even more likely to tell you that the probability of radio being miswired is blowing the METER fuse. Probably have the wiring of the METER FUSE going to a ground in the radio install. Something like that.
