radio

I am buying a radio from a member from this forum he wanted 80 talked him down, got him to 65 shipped is that a good deal or should i wait when i go to the junk yard or is that a pretty good deal its from a turbo 2 i think its a cd player will it fit my 88 gxl without a problem

If it works $65.00 is reasonable. Expect the CD player to be anything but perfect. They more often than not skip with even a slight bump and if you hit a big one it may actually shut down. Cleaning it amy help but if you have about 150.00 and want only a stock radio/CD player, consider replacing the laser. I did and it help a lot but did not cure a 15 y/o technology CD player.

remember radios from 89+ have different plugs and wiring than 86-88 models...

So if the radio is from a 89+ turbo, although it will fit, won't be a very easy install at all electrically.

Work was done at a Pioneer authorized repair shop. You can find them at the Pioneer web site. It was not just the laser, but the laser sled. The sled comes aligned and no need for an alignment tool. The aligment tool cost about 200 and the shop could not find one to use. The sled was only a few bucks more than only the laser itself.
