Radiator Swap

I'm trying to use a radiator out of an '86 in my '88. I remember reading somewhere that there was a way to relocate the overflow hose to the filler neck. Anyone done this?

you would need the plastic piece that the cap screws onto with the overflow nipple on it...i've got one if you need it

I think I might. Just went to pick n pull looking for exactly that, and the '86 I found there didn't have it. Correct me if I'm wrong - Running without the overflow there will cause overheating issues, yes?
