Radiator seal help...

Ok o attatched the pic of the part i need help with.. ok i took the bottle neck part off the radiator and theres this o ring seal in there... i remember i pulled it off and then as i was puting it back together the o-ring was bigger than the slot for it... i was like.. wtf.. now do i need a new one or is there a special way of doing it? ... any help is welcome.. i tried searching but couldnt find anything....

Probably just old and swollen (like some of us on this forum)...

If you're really desperate, you could try a small bead of RTV silicone in the o-ring groove, then reinstall everything, let it cure for a good 30 minutes before you put pressurized coolant on it again...

im gonna try that .... but is tha usual for it to swell to not fit anymore?...

Yep, more common in hydraulic fluid systems than water-based systems though...Maybe the chemicals in the antifreeze got to it...

i c.. aight well im waiting for it to set now.. so if it works than thanx.. if not then i guess im gonna have to go buy another one..
