radiator for manual tran. in a auto

I recently aquired an NA '86 gxl automatic and the person who had it before me said that they put in a radiator that was from a car with a manual transmission. I just wanted to know if this radiator works properly even though it is not the right one?

if the person found some other way to "effectively" cool the transmission fluid, then i guess you should be okay ...

but if not, then you're gonna bake your tranny!
