Radiator light comes on and BEEPS!!!!

I have this problem. I got a eletric fan, the temp goes up while im driving like its supposted to, its not getting hot it goes up maybe 1/4th of the gage and its fine. BUT the stupid thing starts beeping once it gets there. I also have a add collant light that comes on and off at random times. Ive checked the collant and its full so i know it has it in it.

Can anyone tell me why its beeping and if so how do i make it stop? Or atleast unplug the thing that makes it beep b/c its annoying the hell out of me when i drive. Its hard to injoy your car when all you hear is beep...beep...beep...beep... .

Please help.

Where have you checked the coolant? In the resavoir or in the radiator?

Should be a loud buzzer, not a beep for the low coolant.

Are you sure its not the low wiper fluid light or brake fluid light?

If you are getting a beeping, then you (didn't read the FAQ for FC sticky thread at the top of this section before posting ) and probably have a problem with power steering (such as disconnected speedo cable or unhooked trailing coil- etc

The beeping could even be the low oil buzzer.

No... again the Low Oil, Low Coolant, and Over Revs are all reported by a loud Buzzer going off.

Not beeping.

The only thing in the whole car that beeps is the power steering computer to report errors.

It would seem as through I didn't read the last part, yeah the PS computer will do that, it's the Silver box under the dash on the drivers side, unplug that and see if it stops, but thats just covering the problem up, I would actually look into it.

well i got powersteering fluid and i also just replaced the belt on it(like 2 hours ago). It still doing it.

I did read the FAQ. Its not a beep that happens every 60sec at xxx rpms. Its like a beep every 2 or 3 seconds.

My theory is that i have a eletric fan in the car. And if they didnt do what they were supposted to with the stock fan and wires it may be trying to turn the fans on and them not come on (since there not actully on the car). My temp stays fine with the eletric. It goes up maybe 1/4th of the way.

Could my assumption be close? ill take a look at the power steering thing and see if i can go from there. Thanks

How many beeps before it pauses???

One??? 2???3 ????

You didn't read the FAQ for FC sticky thread???

I keep hearing a beep beep beep
Probably the power steering computer telling you there is a problem with the system. The number of beeps before pausing will indicate the problem.
1-beep, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of speed sensor signal:
In case broken wires or short circuits occur to sensors or harnesses, the buzzer sounds 60-seconds after the engine speed signal of 2200 rpm continues for 18-seconds.
2-beeps, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of engine speed signal:
The buzzer sounds twice and repeats when the vehicle speed signal is missing input and/or no engine speed signal is found (short circuit, broken wire, etc.)
3-beeps, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of stepping motor signal:
The buzzer sounds when there are broken wires or short circuits in coils or harnesses.
4-beeps, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of the power steering microcomputer:
The buzzer sounds 4 and repeats when there are circuit troubles other than with the micro computer.
5-beeps, pause, repeat - in case abnormality of steering sensor signal: Steering sensor is mis-aligned or failed or steering wheel has been improperly installed.
so you said:

Its not a beep that happens every 60sec at xxx rpms. Its like a beep every 2 or 3 seconds.
Does that mean you re saying that it beeps once, pauses 2 seconds and beeps again??? if so that would mean your speedo cable is broken/disconnected or there is a wire broken on the speedometer.

Its not rocket science

Nothing from the stock electric fan could cause the car to beep.

I think this is one of the most confusing threads on here, with your 2 beeps and 3 seconds betweeon the 2nd and 3rd beeps, and whatnot.

My car recenlty overheated when I blew 2 belts, and didn't know it untill the low coolant light and loud buzzer came on and stayed on during a small road trip. My car over heated and blew a small hole in a radiator hose. I replaced the hose and the belts, and have been keeping th ecoolant full, and that stupid low coolant buzzer still comes on and stays on for like 5 seconds and then turns off, and it will turn off if I rev the engine a little while out of gear. I think its just because my car is a girl and therefore, because she is moody picky, and holds grudges. I think she is still pissed at me for her overheating incident.
