Radiator, intercooler, oil cooler, and an A/C condensor...

Anyone got them all up front, functioning? Any issues with heat using an electric fan?

Also, is there any reason I couldn't use one of those cheap aftermarket oil coolers? My motor swap won't come with one and if I have a nice big clean new radiator/intercooler/condenser I would like to have a nice clean oil cooler instead of buying a used FC stocker.

Save your money and clean the stock FC oil cooler, those things work great.

But you said you had to buy one......a used FC oil cooler is a lot cheaper than an aftermarket one with lines and mounts and shroud. Hence, you save money.
I did just come up with all of that because I missed what you had said in your first post about not having one.

I'm more interested in the issues of heat.

So am I, which is why I stick with the stock unit.

The FD guys wish they had our cooler, it really is a beast when you compare it to what's out there.

Most of the aftermarket oil coolers are quite a bit smaller then the stock oil cooler. And if you were to find an aftermarket unit that is as good, be prepared to spend $400 or more.

There should be no problem using a capable e-fan for this setup. The big Black Magic fan would be a good choice. I like the GM OEM fans found on Pontiac 6000s, big FWD Oldsmobiles and Buicks, etc.

I have an '04 cooling fan assembly set up so that one is always on when the AC is running and the other comes on at temp (both come on at 240*f). It's about the best fan setup I've found.

Just seems like there'd be a lot of heat up there...thought I'd get some opinions.

I have all of that up front, I have not driven with the AC running yet because I just got the custom lines all figured out for my set up.

I actually just drove the car last night for the first time in 5 months and was not happy with how long it took the fan to shut off when I came back and let it idle, but it could also be because I just put the car together and have to put the foam back between everything and put the hood insulation and all the rubber back under the hood.
