radiator hose size or gauge help

i need to get an adapter for my water temp gauge but need to know the size of the hoses on 87 n/a. or if anyone knows how to install a glowshift gauge a different way that would be nice to thanks

38mm. a better idea would be to tap the waterpump housing under the thermostat and install the sensor there.

i just verified it for you

you can also measure your radiator hose.

I'll verify this...it's 1 1/2" or 38mm.
