Check for air pockets. First time I cranked over my motor it was fine till I drove around the block.
I huge pocket of air was in the engine.

Aftermarket radiators usually need a little trimming on the hoses but I would assume the cheap ebay ones may require more due to quality control.

well, ive ran it with the radiator top off, heater on, for 10 min. then refilled it and replaced top. the upper hose looked as if it was expanding. was under alot of pressure.

blocked passageways in the radiator? typically the lower hose is hot while the top hose is cold. that would tell me that the thermostat is stuck, but top hot, lower cold?
personally, id rip everything apart and start over, new thermostat, rad cap, all new seals. check passageways and make sure nothing is clogged.............

yeah i double checked the thermostat, i truely thought it wasnt opening. but after i ran it 20 min and "got all the air out" it was still over heating and the upper was swelling and hot, so i pulled off the housing while it was still hot to find the thermostat still open.

so, since you have to redo the neck, just redo the whole front water pump cover to the block....trust me, just start over. get rid of the headaches

it sure does. there is an extra bolt hole, and it depends on the thermostat you use.

or just get a metal replacement.
