Cool Radiator

Greetings, one and all. Unfortunately my first post must include a seriously *annoying* problem I'm having with my FC. I have a radiator leak. Now after you finish laughing, I have tried everything my local auto-parts store will allow, i.e. all forms of stop-leak, patch kits, hoses. So unless there's a way for the motor to burn a full radiator's worth of water in thespan of 2 hours, most of that not driving, then it's the radiator. Now I'm told $200 for a radiator for the car, but I feel there must be an alternative to such over-priced parts. So, to the question, is there another car that has a similar enough radiator that I could get at a junk-yard that would work for 3-6 months, long enough to start ording the performance engine parts which will include a new radiator. I'm sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but it's annoying to add water every 30 minutes. Thanks again

You can't see the leak??
It could be from the heater hose under the oil filter?
Another likely place is the 3/8" coolant line from the rear iron to the TB.
Or- the water pump weep hole.

If it's the radiator for sure - www.radiators.com

well to start i would look under the car for a puddle. if you have a puddle of coolant under your car then you can assume the radiator is bad if that puddle is in that general area. If there is no puddles then i hate to say it but you might be burning that coolant. if you have heavy white smoke then you can assume that its something else .. cuz coolant normally just doesnt dissappear. check all your hoses for tightness. even the ones on the firewall as i had one semi loose and it was leaking slowly into the car. now if that doesnt yeild any results then i would assume that it would be being brunt. does your car smoke? alot of white smoke all the time ? if so then i think your coolant seals need to be replaced . if thats the case save up for the rebuild and put the performace parts on hold for a while sorry

as a matter of fact it does smoke every now and then. Although i have been putting straight water since i need like a gallon a day, i'll look into the coolant seals. And theres good 4 inch crack right on top, dumb me forgot to mention that thats one of the few leaks i think it has, cause i was still losing water after i patched in using a fiber-glass/silicon kit i got. which lasted 2 weeks before it came off. And unfortunately its going to be another month or so till i can check for puddles, cause at 115 degree's, nothing stays wet for more than 10 minutes here in the high-desert, and no-one can monitor it that much, well at least i cant.
