Arrow Racing/Sport/Aftermarket Seats and Racks

I did some searching on the forum (nopistons.com) and others... I didn't really get much information. I think it's threads like these that need to be stickies... or have its section (or maybe I never saw it if it exists? )

So I am in the market for some seats (as my car gets put together). I was wondering if some of you guys can post pics of your aftermarket/racing/sport seats that you have on your seven (FC)

What steps and or modifications you had to make to make them fit or whether or not they were direct fit for replacements.

Safety for me comes first and whether its a rollcage or some nice seats I believe it's important to know if they sit right or need more attention - or have a good reputation for safe driving (spirited or not).

So if you can kindly take the time to post pictures of your seats manufacturer and add comments (from eBay, to pro, to custom, to... you name it) that would be great!!

Or you can just shut this thread down and call me a nub

Luis

Corbeau Forza's

Don't buy their rails, they fit poorly and sit the seat too high. I had to modify mine.

www.tougefactory.com has the bride rails that fit our weird shaped floors. I'm going to be getting 2 of them for my seats.

I have the same bride seats too but I wasn't able to fab up some rails. Instead I had to buy seat rails from bride. If I knew I could mod my stock rails I would of saved $200.

Here's a thread that describes the process of fitting any seat into an FC:

the way I did it was fairly simple..and CHEAP..I got a couple pieces of Flat steel and Attached them to the Stock Rails.Since they were Level in the car..I worked off that..Once I knew where to attach the Flat steel, then I took it and held it up to the Bottom of the seat and saw where I had to drill holes to attach the Steel to it..Drilled them,Attached the Steel to the seat...then put the Seat in,attached that whole thing to the rails..and Done..Not the Fantabulous way of doing things, but it Worked when I was Flat broke busted!..cost me 8 Bucks.

What are the most cheap and effective seats you can find out there? I'm just curious.

Nice, Thanks guy for much of your replies and comments. This has cleared alot! It seems to most people do custom racks or modify the existing ones. Yes! I do recall seeing the drivers seat to be more "optimal" but the passenger seats would possibly be more complicated or more work to be performed.

I dont think the seats from eBay are crash tested right? I mean... they are eBay seats with a bunch of disclaimers, none of which are DOT certified.

Ill take my chances with a known stock seat (other OEM), or Racing/Bucket Seats + harness.

Are there any eBay seats that are tested and approved? or is it a roll of the dice to make the decision on that.

The stock seats are the most cheap ($0) and effective seats. For racing, there are budget seats like the Momo Rookie / Start, OMP TRS, etc., that aren't all that comfortable but meet the FIA race standards.

Yeah, a lot of those eBay seats are junk. If you want to be safe, make sure they are DOT or TUV approved for the street, or FIA approved for racing.

I have the Momo 1000 Lakes seats.

I'm not quite sure yet. I haven't been able to make a decision on what my car is going to be considered. I know for a fact that it probably wont be street legal because of all the modification it will undergo.

I'll have to sit on that one - thanks for mentioning it

Nice seats
