The problem is that you need to custom install them.
Don't even bother with the combination of the Sparco side-mount brackets with the Wedge Engineering adapters...
Like everyone else says, the Wedge Engineering adapters are crap.
The Sparco EVO2 right side mount is okay, but the left side mount ends up way over to the door sill.

What did you do "custom" for the EVO2? I have the Sparco mounts and seatbase, but have yet to install it all. My car is stripped out though so no door panels, door sills, etc.

Thanks,

Andrew

I was running a PRO CAR by SCAT sport seat with custom offset mounts on stock rails and it was great for autocross. I used the stock rails that came with it and it was way too high, so a buddy made some for me and it worked great. I'm 5'11, 245 and the seat fit snug but it would still slide.

i have recaro SRD's and i love them. i'm 5'9"-5'10" and 175 ish. i sat in some bride seats and they feel like sitting in a baby seat, don't get those. like everyone says try the seat out first. i think the recaro's are good for a wide range of sizes.

For the EVO2 or EVO XL now that it's called...

The right side Sparco mount fits right on the stock slider rail on that side.
Due to the extra width of the seat, you need to "extend" the bracket so that you can mount the left side Sparco mount.
It's a very tight fit, so measure twice and cut once!

In one my 91 TII that I shipped over from Japan there is a race seat inside that actually sits lower than the stock seat. I wish I knew what brand it is so I will buy another one because I am 36" too and It is very confortable. On the rail it has a sticker that says "super low position rail for fc3s and it has part number ZZ001"
Anybody knows what rails are these?

I did not remove the seat to check if it says anything in which i will identify the brand but I might do it during the weekend.
