racing seat

i want to get racing seat for my 1988 se but i can't find anything i'm looking at universal ones do they work? what do i need to install them?

Well technically you can fab up your own brackets but someone with fab skills is necessary. I had custom brackets made for the kirkey alum seat in my ae86 and they worked great. Car specific brackets are better though simply because if someone drives your car they can adjust the seat to reach the pedals or not be inside the dash.

Corbeau makes brackets that are FC specific. I have them and they fit OK, but you have to play with the car using a floor jack to get them perfect. Damn unibody.

thanks afro i know i needed brackets i should have worded it better i ment in a universal kit does it have everything. and 87 t-66 this is my daily driver my race car that i built my self thant makes 400 awhp makes me not a noob when it comes to anything about cars

and that justifies your dumb question how? are you trying to say that you can build a 400hp car but cant make seat brackets?

lol an awd rx7 would be crazy.

Anyway I doubt a universal seat kit would supply brackets that will fit any car. Thats next to impossible unless the bracket bent. That would be rediculously unsafe though. universal probably just means make it fit.
