Racing Beat Turboback (Old v. New)

Is there any difference between the old RB turboback and the new one? Other than the new one being polished stainless steel? Are the inner diameters of the piping the same?

the downpipe is made slightly different, and the mufflers are of different construction.

as for the size i havn't seen any data that says they are different.

i think the diameters are the same. personally this is not the way to go as these components are NOT interchangeable with other parts matching the factory locations. I.E. you can't bolt up a different cat back to the midpipe or put the stock cat in place of the midpipe.

Well, I'm not really worried about it, I'll probably just keep the old stock exhaust if I need to for whatever reason. The car is my autox car.

And i'm guessing the whole ported wastegate, FCD, and possibly larger injectors thing is the way to go?

With that much exhaust (and I'm guessing you have a better intake too) you're probably going to need more tuning that just a FCD to be safe.

Intake is stock airbox with a K&N drop in filter. So..probably flows slightly less than stock :p

I run 14psi on the stock turbo.....stock fuel maps with the rtek 2.0....stock injectors. even before the rtek i was boosting this and my car was fine...it runs around 10.5 afr at WOT at any rpm. Your prolly gonna boost 11-12 max. If your worried about being safe....dont buy a seven I do have the walbro fuel pump but with out larger injectors it doesnt add much more.

Yeah, i'm hoping I won't have to buy a piggyback or anything like that. Even so, I'd like to make it so that it's boosting 10-11psi max.
