Racing Beat Road race Header??!!!
Allright everyone, im finally ordering my header... i think i've decided to go with racing beat.. i've just heard so many good things... now, they have a header with a pre silencer and a collecter... this is restricting and quiets it down significantly from what i've been told... They also have the "road race header" which looks like a straight through header... I allready have a straight pipe (y-pipe) from the manifold to the mufflers, and am not worried about sound level... If its loud then ****** sweet... if it shoots flames then sweet... i just want to know that they both bolt right up, as aesily as aech other.... and if anyone has any knowledge of comparison on the two...
Thanks..
Thanks..

Email the guys at racing beat, they are real cool, but i don't think it will bolt up to your system because its designed for custom racing systems, itextends back a lot farther that the stock manifold.
But whatever you do, racing beat makes High Quality stuff

The road race header is uncollected.. I.E- it ends in 2 seperate pipes. Mainly used for a "true dual" setup, or custom collector. The streetable collected header does just that, the two pipes come into one and "collect" into just one pipe. It still can be louder than hell, trust me.
If anyone is interested in buying a RB header, I have one for sale..click link in sig

The RB header doesn't have to be mated up with a silencer if you don't want to, you just custom plumb it from the flange back. As far as restriction, the RB presilencer is straight through and doesn't interfere much, but at least brings noise to a bearable level. If you want flames just don't run a cat. I'd suggest getting the collected header no presilencer and a single N1 cannister out the back.
There are some true dual guys on here that'll wax poetic about their virtues for pages if you want to get them going about them and find out more.

No, my straight pipes back from the RR header is loud. Open RR headers are just plain painful. Honestly. About 2500 RPM was my pain threshold for my ears. Above that and it would sting. People were covering their ears in other cars as I went by. Had to kill the engine when I saw a HP car coming in the distance.
Makes me want to pull a Jesse James and take off my hood and point two pipes straight up.. Haha.
