Racing Beat Exhaust

Hello, I have a 89 GXL and I wondered if this exhaust setup would be ok.

I wanna get the Cat Replacement Pipe w/Presilencer and wondered if this was both the downpipe and midpipe.

Along with it I wanna get the Cat Back Exhaust System .

Will I need anything else to make it work?

And do you think it'll be too loud? Not that I care, but I don't want the authorities to be checking up on me!

Thanks a lot!

Yeah man .... I didnt read it or anything, but it looks like its your DP and MP and then you can just connect a CB system up to it.

As for how loud itll be ... Dunno Never seen that setup in person. Try it and find out!

I have never seen the setup either, I bet it isn't too loud but hey whatever. Reason for not seeing it = way to damn expensive. But hey they make quality *****

Well the cat replacement pipe with presilencer will replace all your cats. It will go from the exh. manifold to the y-pipe. It would bolt right up to the RB catback as well. As for loudness, you would prolly have one of the quiestest 7s on here. Well maybe not, but that should be a pretty quiet system since you will keep the exhaust manifold, will have a presilenver and will be using the RB catback.

Thanks! I'll have in in about a month! Gotta work my *** off to get the money now!

Does Racing Beat let you pick up the parts directly there? I live pretty close to them.

Personally I'd get the header/pre-silencer setup instead. It would be louder but I believe it should make more power. It too will bolt right up to the RB catback or catback of your choice.I have heard this complete RB setup on a friends car and it sounds nice. It's basically what I have except I have HKS mufflers. If your getting rid of your cats I see no reason to keep the factory exhaust manifold on the car.

That setup shouldn't be too loud for an aftermarket system, but it won't be as quite as a stock setup. I have the RB header/presilencer setup right now and it isn't too loud if you drive normally, but if you get on the gas you can really hear it scream.

I just noticed that you live in California, I'm not sure what you plan on doing about emissions, but you definitely won't pass with that setup

Oh well.If noise wasn't a concern the header would be the way to go.It's really hard to judge loudness without hearing for ones self.I don't know how much difference there is between the two setups but I'm sure the header would be louder.

pass emission, and then swap it.

The thing is that I can't even pass emission with my stock exhaust.
