racing beat engine torque brace

its SO worth the 65 bucks. hands down one of the best things ive done to the 7.

engine does NOT torque, idle is improved, smooth throughout the band, everything feels SOLID... throttle response is amazing.

i reccommend it.

hey *(SLEEJAY)* is it easy to install? I almost bought one from a junk yard "said it bolts to the back of the engine" or something? but hey if you dont have to pull the engine, or drop the tranny to install it then im gonn buy it...

Good to hear!

I've just put one on my 87 Tll, but haven't had a chance to really run the car with it on. You're right though....the engine is absolutely rock solid....doesn't torque at all in the engine bay.

Supposed to make shifting a little more precise too.

I've been looking at those braces for a little while now and they sound like a good idea, because my engine does torque a fair bit when revving from idle.

I have been worried about getting that plastic wheel well piece out to install it though. Previous owners didn't take proper washing care, so it's a bit rusty underneath.

How does that piece come off?

Its a bunch of philips screws that have 8mm heads. I didn't have any problems with them on my rust bucket.
