flames + fuel = going out with a bang. i dunno, if i had a few grand to spare and a makeshift eject button that shot me out the top of the car, i'd do it. if i didn't die or kill anyone else, i'd sure as hell be laughing.

i drove around for 5 weeks with just the stock manifold because the oem catback had cracked, waiting for my RB stuff to come in. i know very well how painfully loud it is.

not to mention how painfully slower the car feels with no exhaust system. >

i hate cops, if i had a mustang with flowmasters at the same decible level i wouldnt get pulled over. cops always gotta hate on the can... lol

i have a racing beat header and presilencer with the dual exhaust coming off of it and it's load as hell. What can i do to lower the noise level? It's too loud...before this setup i just had the manifold with the precats and cat with the same dual exhaust. Any advice?

How big of an improvement would you say a True Dual sys, header to powerpulse mufflers makes on a stock rotary performance/reliability wise. I see this to be a thermal investment more than power, since you can blow out all this hot air finally.

Change the cat-back. Your mufflers do alot more then look cool.

Er, I must restate that.

Headers will make the car louder. But I meant to ask what cat-back do you have at the moment.

I don't know what they are. My friend had new pipes put in alongwith the current mufflers. I have no idea what they are. When you say cat back you mean from the presilencer back right? I don't know much about exhaust setups. What do you recommend?

if he doesn't know much about exhaust setups, I doubt he knows if it's hollowed out or not. In my opinion you should definitly look up exhaust and learn about it. The way a muffler works is rather interesting. I just got done looking at my exhaust and the worst thing is when you get a car that has a bunch of random sized pipes on it. Another thing to look at is how the cat works. It will show you exactly why a stock cat has so much back pressure.

aka bad idea.

rb headers + presilencer + corksport catback is very close to open headers on the loudness scale.
Nah, Open header = Loud loud loud and loud.

I will say this though an open header is loud as hell. CRAZY LOUD. I don't have any cats. Its just the header, presilencer and y pipe to mufflers.

If you want quiet with a nice sound, get the racing beat exhaust. Even with a gutted cat, its not that loud. But im thinkin about gettin headers.

Do they look like an N1 setup or otherwise? The rear mufflers do make a large difference. If its something like an Apexi Dual N1, yes it'll be louder compared to a Borla or so. If the setup is too loud for you, I suggest looking into a new cat-back .

Cat-back is what would be after the presilencer in your case. Usually its setup after the stock main cat.

Or a Borla, Dynomax, RP Racing, Greddy, HKS 50MM exhaust, and or a custom setup will do the same for 30% less cost FYI and maintain a streetable sound. Racing Beat is a good product, but not always the end all.

Just to warn you, it will prob get a good bit louder. The stock exhaust manifold is noticable quieter than a header.

Yeah, there are lots of good cat back out there other than racing beat. I just preach RB for the header and presilencer because its the only one that keeps the aux ports working, plus the heat is so extreme you have to have very high quality products. For example, I had a bonez cat replacement pipe with a tube to operate the aux ports. With the cat back I had (Apex N1) there wasnt enough pressure to operate the aux ports and the heat noticably warped the flange that connected to the exhaust man.
