I have the Racing Beat Street/Strip clutch & pressure plate on my '88 SE. It works just fine. The pressure plate is significantly heavier than stock, enough that driving in stop and go traffic for more than 10-15 minutes starts to get irritating, but for normal stuff it's just fine.

The clutch is solid, and handles all of my 160-170 BHP just fine. I'm not worried about letting other people drive the '7 either, and I've let a few people learn to drive stick on it - the clutch is very solid feeling..

The only problem with it is that I get used to a heavy clutch. I drove a Porsche 944 Turbo for a friend (test driving it & taking a look at it), and the clutch was a bit heavier than mine, but not by much. I"ve driven some new stickshift cars, and I pretty much try to put the clutch through the floor the first few times. And I have a FC with a stock pressure plate that I'm working on getting running (it runs now, but still needs work). I was concerned about the very light clutch, until I remembered that mine was definitely *not* stock.

Thanks Russ, That makes me feel pretty good then. I'll be moving to your area around May 15 this year after I get out of the Marine Corps.

I'm actually in Iowa City now, but... sweet. Feel free to drop me a line when you get to Iowa.
