is this a good buy/a good idea?
ok guys, so i'm bored with my engine...
much wires are broken / helded together with tape... its a PIA to work on the car because i have to be very carefully to not brake any line/wire... and the engine burns oil, isn't idle'ing right, doesn't make right power some times... i have 187.000km on it...
so, i've a local guy here... he will sell me an engine complete with manifolds, sensors, engine harness, turbo... he also will help me with getting out the old engine, paint my engine room black to match the new colour and get the new engine in... and we will do the complete job in his garage with his own tools
the engine has about 80.000km on it... its out from a wrecked FC and is laying around for 2-3 years in has garage (he put oil in the combustion chambers etc.)
he is a real rotary freak... he owns 6 rx7's and his complete HOUSE (yes, the COMPLETE house) is full of rx7 parts (he has owned ... 28 (!!!)... 7ens in his life... so he know what he is doing ...)
he will sell me the engine + his help with getting the old out, painting, get the new engine in for complete 1100Euros... thats ~1300 US Dollar...
is this a good deal?

because the engine is laying around for 2-3 years i wanna change some stuff... maybe you can give me some input?
gasket from Upper to lower intake manifold
gasket from lower intake manifold to engine
gasket between turbo and engine
gasket between turbo and Downpipe
gasket between oil-pan and engine
new o-rings for the injectors
new BAC-valve gasket
new ACV gasket
and a generall tuneup (oil, water, sparkplugs, wires, oilfilter, fuel filter)
any other itesm to change?

ok, so i've started the project
the engine is in freaking good shape... the harness is in nearly PERFECT condition, also the engine is very clean and don't leak oil or other fluids from anywhere
i've done a compressiontest this day...
the engine stands now for 2 - 2 1/2 years... i've connected the transmission to the engine, and bridgeg the starter-terminals to let the baby spin i've sprayed some oil into the chambers, but only 2 or 3 little sprays the battery i've used was really old and not fully charged..
i've got 7.5bars on both rotors! thats about 107psi... is this a good value for a motor which is standing around for over 2years, with a old batterie and only a little oil?
